2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid: A Comprehensive Guide On Features, Specs, And Pricing
The new 2025 Camry does away with the V-6, but the revised hybrid system more than makes up for that.
A Camry Starts Anywhere Between $28,400 And $34,600
The Toyota Camry has always been one of the best value-for-money cars that you can buy, making it a bestseller. For 2025, its starting price definitely keeps to its frugal identity. Saying goodbye to the V-6 TRD model from last year, choices of trim levels have been whittled down to four unique options.
Trims
Model | Starting MSRP |
---|---|
LE | $28,400 |
SE | $30,700 |
XLE | $33,400 |
XSE | $34,600 |
The Camry's starting price has risen quite a bit over last year's model. This is due to the fact that Toyota has ditched gas-only models and now the choices are purely hybrid. The difference between the least and the most expensive models isn't massive. Instead, each trim level gains access to a bevy of new, desirable optional extras.
If you're looking for the best value-for-money trim for the 2025 Camry, we'd suggest the SE. While the Camry isn't the sportiest car, the SE adds unique suspension tuning that makes it a little more enjoyable. On top of this, it comes with bigger wheels, SofTex power-adjustable seats, along with some sporty trim elements.
XSE
If we're looking for the most fully loaded version of the Toyota Camry, then the XSE is the obvious choice. The price jump from the base model to the XSE isn't massive and, for the added money, you get a decent number of additional features.

The XSE comes fitted with stylish 19-inch black-finished alloy wheels and a color-keyed sport mesh front grille. In terms of functional equipment, the Camry XSE comes standard with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, bigger than the standard eight-inch one, as well as a 12.3-inch digital gauge display. Seats are also leather-trimmed, which adds an air of luxury to the interior.

The Camry Is Hybrid Only For 2025, With A Choice Of Two Outputs
The biggest difference to the Camry for its ninth generation, as we’ve mentioned a couple of times at this point, is the fact that it is completely hybrid for the 2025 model year. This is a massive change for the brand’s poster child sedan and showcases its dedication to electrification.
Powertrains
Engine | 2.5-Liter Four-Cylinder Hybrid | 2.5-Liter Four-Cylinder Hybrid |
---|---|---|
Transmission | CVT | CVT |
Horsepower | 225 HP | 232 HP |
Torque | 163 LB-FT | 163 LB-FT |
Driveline | FWD | AWD |
The 2025 Camry comes with a duo of powertrains. These two options are available on all the Camry's trim levels and are dependent on whether you want front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The front-wheel drive option uses two electric motors to drive the front wheels, while the all-wheel drive model adds a third motor to operate the rear axle and slightly increase overall output. CarBuzz goes into deeper detail regarding the performance specs of the Camry.
To deck out our XSE, we're going to equip it with the optional all-wheel drive. This will cost an additional $1,525 bringing our current total to $36,125 without shipping and destination charges.
Fuel Economy
Model | City MPG | Highway MPG | Combined MPG |
---|---|---|---|
LE (FWD) | 53 | 50 | 51 |
LE (AWD) | 51 | 49 | 50 |
SE, XSE, XLE (FWD) | 48 | 47 | 47 |
SE, XLE (AWD) | 46 | 46 | 46 |
XSE (AWD) | 44 | 43 | 44 |
Unfortunately, the EPA hasn't yet released fuel economy figures for the 2025 Camry. However, Toyota does have some estimates. While Toyota has been pretty good at releasing fairly accurate MPG figures, these should always be taken with a grain of salt until they're tested by an official third party.
Thanks to its smaller wheels and its less powerful setup, the LE with front-wheel drive is the most efficient version of the Camry. Getting above 50 miles per gallon is impressive. While the XSE with all-wheel drive doesn't quite live up to this figure, it's still impressively efficient and will no doubt save you money on gas.

A Choice Of Packages Enhance Comfort And Convenience In Your 2025 Camry
Along with its long list of standard features, Toyota offers a ton of optional packages that increase the comfort and luxury of the Camry. Each trim level gets its own comfort and convenience packages that tack on a bunch of desirable features if you're willing to pay extra. The Camry can actually be a near-luxury car when equipped right, something that TopSpeed's William Clavey discovered in his test drive.
Packages
In total, three packages can be added to your 2025 Toyota Camry. The most affordable of which is the glass roof package. This package is $1,330 and includes a panoramic glass roof with an electronically controlled tilting and sliding moonroof. The Camry does come standard with an overhead glass storage area that this package removes.
The other two packages are the Premium and the Premium Plus packages. Both of these packages include the panoramic glass roof. The Premium package costs an additional $3,125 and includes a premium nine-speaker JBL sound system, a ten-inch heads-up display, ventilated front seats, and digital key capability. The Premium Plus package costs $4,075 and includes all the features of the premium package as well as tons of additional driver assist features such as traffic jam assist, lane change assist, a panoramic view monitor, and cross-traffic braking.
Colors And Current Total
Standard colors on the 2025 Camry include Ocean Gem Blue, Midnight Black Metallic, Reservoir Blue, and Underground Gray. None of these choices will cost you anything extra. While all of these colors can be had with black interior trim, Underground Gray and Midnight Metallic can be optioned with red interior trim.
Optional colors include Heavy Metal Gray, Supersonic Red, and Wind Chill Pearl. All of these colors can be optioned with a Midnight Black roof for a two-tone effect. The flat colors cost an additional $425 and two-tone options will cost an additional $925.
If we add on the two-tone paintwork and the Premium Plus package, the total for our XSE now sits at $41,125.
