Born March 8, 1926, Chuck grew up with a depression era existence, raised by his single mother as an only child.

Chuck graduated near the top of his class from Central Catholic High School in 1944, where he was also a three-sport MVP athlete. Upon graduation, Chuck joined the Army Air Corps, where he served in British Guiana during World War II. After returning from his military service, he married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Agnes Conroy. Chuck and Ag would have eight children from 1948 to 1966, and their dedication to their family would by his single mother as an only child. Chuck graduated near the top of his class from Central Catholic High School in 1944, where he was also a three-sport MVP athlete.

Upon graduation, Chuck joined the Army Air Corps, where he served in British Guiana during World War II. After returning from his military service, he married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Agnes Conroy. Chuck and Ag would have eight children from 1948 to 1966, and their dedication to their family would dominate the activities of their life together. In 1951, they moved to the Carrick section of Pittsburgh and joined St. Norbert Parish where both would be active in school and church work for most of their lives.

Chuck was especially proud that all of his children attended Catholic elementary and high schools and went on to graduate from college. John Charles (Chuck) Riley is predeceased by his loving wife, Agnes Frances (Conroy) Riley. His children include Mary Ann Clynick (John), Michael Joseph, now deceased (Anita), John Charles (Margaret), Patrick Martin (Janet), James Francis (Cheryl), Eileen Marie Steffan (James), Daniel Edward (Barbara), and Joseph Peter (Lisa). Chuck was proud of his many grandchildren, including Paul Daniel Sullivan, Jacqueline Marie Richardson (Josh), Erin Lynn (Kenette Louis) and Stacie Lynn Riley, Tori Riley Sander (Colin), Michael Aloysius, Kate Elizabeth, Meg Michaela, Casey Patrick, Shane Paul, Bridget Ann, Julie Elizabeth and Emily Jane Riley, Kathleen Susan and Vincent Edward Guglielmi, Lauren Theresa, Ashley Marie, Taylor Marie and John Charles Riley. His step-grandchildren are Beth Ann Vinson, John Clynick, Jr.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Walter Sasinoski; loving children, Aaron (Nicole) Sasinoski, Lauren (Peter) Collins, Kristin (Dana Boyer) Sasinoski; cherished grandson, Pierce Collins; sisters, Lana (the late Domenic) Slebrich, Phyllis (Reynard) Ford; sister-in-law, Margaret (Tom) O'Kain; and many nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews. She will also be missed by her many wonderful friends. Sherry was a faithful servant of God and she played the organ and piano at Kerr Presbyterian Church in Milltown for over 50 years. Sherry was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, decorating, bargain shopping and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved watching the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.

Most of all, Sherry loved spending time with her only grandson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for "The Sherry Sasinoski Music Fund" may be made for the continuation of music for the Lord.
