The latest sports news is always packed full of fresh stories from the NBA, and this is no surprise when its popularity around the globe is considered. While it might still have its main fanbase in the US, plenty of other countries worldwide like to keep up with what’s happening in the league.

This is easy to understand when the history of the NBA and how popular it is with sports bettors is factored in. By attracting more fans through sports betting for example, the league has been able to expand its audience greatly over time. The players are also a major reason why the NBA remains so loved by fans and this is especially true for those who break records during their career.

For instance, Gheorghe Muresan will always be remembered as the tallest player in NBA history, standing at 7ft 7in height. Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is another great example and enjoyed a record-breaking season yet again.

Here are some of Curry’s best moments during the 2023-24 NBA season:

Curry scores 60 against the Hawks

Stephen Curry is without doubt a living legend of modern basketball and has changed how important three-point shots are in the game. He became the leading NBA three-point shooter of all-time in 2021, demonstrating his elite level talent.

The 2023-24 season demonstrated that he isn’t done with records yet though, and one moment which stands out is scoring 60 points against the Hawks in February 2024. This meant he joined the late Kobe Bryant as one of the only players in NBA history to put up at least 60 points in a game at 35 or older.

This record was not the only one Curry set in the 2023/24 regular season. He also became the NBA player with most games scoring 50+ points at 30 or over with eight such games. In November 2023, he become the first player ever to make a three-pointer in 250 consecutive regular season games.

Clutch Player of the Year for 23/24

Curry was on fire in the 23-24 season and did not settle for merely setting new records. He was also the Clutch Player of the Year, which recognized his awesome clutch abilities. During “Clutch Time” he scored 189 points, 59 field goals, and 32 three-pointers during the last five minutes of play or in overtime, when the score was within five points or less over the course of the season.

This finally put to bed doubts over Curry’s effectiveness in these situations, which is something that has dogged him during his career. With this award in his locker for the 23-24 season, people can no longer question his effectiveness when things are close.

Late three-pointer sinks Celtics

When looking at Stephen Curry’s best moments of the 23-24 NBA season, his late show to sink the Celtics in December must make our list. The Golden State Warrior’s main man grabbed 20 points in just 17 minutes to hand his team the win.

Curry came back onto the court in the fourth quarter like a man possessed, and sank a game-winning three-pointer with just over 10 seconds left to seal the victory for his team.

Nine three-pointers and 46 points against Lakers

Although his team would eventually succumb to a double overtime loss to the Lakers in January 2024, Curry had a game to remember.. He scored an impressive 46 points, which included nine three-point shots. In addition, he chipped in with a game tying lay-up to send the game into overtime and notched 15 points during the two overtime periods.

This helped his team to go one point up with just under five seconds left on the clock. Although they couldn’t hang on in the end, this was a grandstand performance from Curry and one of his best 2023/24 moments. He was so good in this game that it resulted in Lakers star LeBron James talking about his admiration for Curry.

Stephen Curry had an insane regular season in 2023/24

Any follower of the NBA knows that the Golden State Warriors had an average season at best in 2023-24. They finished 10th in the Western Conference overall and were eliminated by the Kings during the first stage of the Play-In Tournament. Despite this, Stephen Curry had a season to remember and showed inspired determination in many games. The above examples highlight some of his top moments from the season which will be remembered.
